Did the update to see if the following has been fixed:
When I scroll around any file using the hand tool, artboards disappear, as do guides when you're moving around. Then when you 'stop', it takes a few seconds to catch up and draw anything in. Yes, I've tried clicking and un-clicking "Real-time drawing and editing" in preferences. Yes, I've tried switching between CPU and GPU modes (all that does is send my fan into overdrive and slow everything down). This is so frustrating when you've got a big file with lots of artboards but no content or not a lot of content yet as it's impossible to know where you "are". This is a new behaviour to v28.x
Also, the general draw-speed of things is poor now. If I cut and paste an object, it appears in two places at once (if it works at all - sometimes it just doesn't). And I have to zoom in and out to fix it.
Much more frequent crashes also - especially with larger files.
I have again rolled back to 27.9.3, which fixes all these problems and is generally more stable.
@Adobe - Can we please get the version fixed before adding more AI bells and whistles that no-one has asked for. Most of which I can't use anyway because they're not available in the stable release of the app.
I'm on a fairly new (last year's model) Dell XPS laptop with 32Gb memory and a Core i7.

Hello @stephen_davies,
Hey there, we understand how frustrating it can be to encounter crashes in the middle of work. Would you mind trying the suggestions shared in this help article (https://adobe.ly/3TIunfb) and checking if they help? Also, kindly submit the crash report using your Adobe email address and share it here for quick tracking. Steps are shared here: (https://adobe.ly/4aFVYoh).
We appreciate your time and patience in helping us resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Thanks for getting back to me, Anubhav.
I'm afraid I've tried all that multiple times and nothing helps except rolling back to an earlier version. I'm not now going to reinstall the new version, force a crash and report it just to make the point.
And to be honest, that still doesn't fix the drawing issuses I mentioned. In addition, I thought I'd check it on my other machine (also a Dell XPS, albeit a slightly older one), just to see if the problems were the same, and they are. So I've rolled that one back, too.

Hello @stephen_davies,
Thanks for sharing the details. To help with the drawing issues, would you mind performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/4axfbc8) and checking if it helps?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav

According to that thread, the team's looking to fix this. Will stay on Ai 2023 until it's fixed. Thanks.
