Automatic run the ai script with Hot Folder content

Hi all,

I have created a series of apparel patterns with size S,M,L,XL....etc.

My ai script will duplicate whatever I have done in M size across other sizes.

Then finally export each size in jpeg.

My question is, can we have a hot folder, once there is a content in that folder (ai file with size M completed), it automatically call Adobe ai and run my script?

Hi,

I have never tried on Windows. I have done for mac and I am using apple script. So definitely, apple script will not work on windows PC, but you can create a batch file that can do same thing. But I have never tried myself.

Yes, this is possible.

You can use folder actions on mac, as soon as new file move to your Hot folder, script associated with the folder actions get executed.

Best regards
