Batch convert PDF to SVG

Hello there,

I believe this may be the right place to ask because I use Illustrator to open PDFs and export SVGs of the single pages of a single document.

What to do when one has several one-page PDFs and would like to batch-convert them to SVG? The goal is to use them for EPUBs, since there's an option in InDesign to keep SVGs upon exporting, while PDFs will be rasterised. 

Adobe Express would allow me to change JPG into SVG, but is the quickest way to batch-convert the PDFs to images and then back into SVGs? 

I am aware of the existence of online tools, both free and paid, but I was wondering if there was an option native to Adobe apps.

You could record an action that opens a PDF, export it as SVG and use that action in a Batch to open an entire folder and export them in antoher one.

This seems to work, but when I record the action with open and export, it actually creates an action tied to specific folders and files. When I then launch the Batch process from the flyover menu, I need to choose folder for open and for save and, I believe, also check the Override boxes. 

Is it possible to just create an "Export to SVG" action and then launch it through the Batch process? 

Concerning SVG Export Options, I have set them up while recording to convert fonts to outlines and to have minimise and responsive unchecked. How do I know these settings were respected?

It is notvery intuitive, the settings in the Batch dialog, but this works for me.

You can test if the fonts were converted to outlines by opening one after export.

I mean, it also seems to work for me (files open and get coverted, then closed), but I'm wondering if, since one would use this action only for Batch purposes, one could get rid of the Open action, and just add a Save as SVG action. 

I believe the overriding is still necessary, though, for export.

To save/export something as SVG you need something to save, so Open seems necessary.
