Battery dies and illustrator crashes

These crashes have been reported recently.

First of all: it's not a good practice to let your battery run into the red areas. Your battery will thank you for not doing it.

 

But: I have to admit that I'm guilty of this as well. Only: my computer then doesn't crash, so it looks like your system might play a role in this as well.

 

Crashing without having your file saved can lead to file loss. The reason for the crash doesn't matter and there is no  function in any system or application software that can prevent file loss. Trust me, I've been there. I won't hold my breath for it. 

If you want to keep your files, do always save them.
