Hi,

I am pretty new to Illustrator and was wondering if there is an easy way to resize my artwork? I understand how to resize Artboards, but is there an easier way to resize the complete artboard incl. all content from e.g. 4:5 ratio to a 3:4 or paper size formats? Ideally, I'd like to not have to resize all art content to the new size and automatically resize borders, font size/ratio etc. to the new Artboard size. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

What should happen with a different ratio? unproportional scaling?

Please show a screenshot.

Please describe what you have tried and why that doesn't work for you.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Just to give a little more context. The reason I want to resize the artwork is to have the same art available for various paper sizes, postcards/photos and other print formats. For example a letter art (quote) available in A3, Letter, 5x7 and 4x6.

I hope this helps.

Thanks

You can resize your artwork once it has been placed in the layout software.

Please describe why this doesn't work for you.

Why do you need to scale it? For the use in another application like InDesign? Scale the placed AI file.

For print? Save as PDF and scale upon print.
