I have two objects selected that are colored with the Free Transform gradient, i'm not able to make a blend.
( but when I try to expand the shapes, make the blend, a line appears, so i exapand everything again and give them the smae gradient color, this way it works but it's a lot of work and i won't be able to replace a spine with the blend)
when I try the forementioned methode, I won't be able to replace a spine ( the blend and spine are slected):
any ideas please?

You can create a symbol out of the freeform gradient object and blend between two or more instances of that symbol.

You select a freeform gradient object, go to the Symbols palette and create a new symbol.
Now you place two ore more instances of that symbol on the scratch area, select them all and make a blend.
