Question

blend tool not working properly? Or is it me?

Can someone please please help me.

I am trying to use the blend tool to blend between two similar objects. One is slightly larger than the other. When I go to blend, it creates a squiggly line as the blend that resembles nothing like the first two objects.

Please help if possible.

Thanks!

Anita

The result should look like this where the outer layer and inner layer blend to make exact blends between.

Select an equal number of anchor points (preferably the corners of those paths)

Then take the blend tool and click on two corresponding points

This might give a better result.

There are a few different ways to go about making blends (How to blend objects in Illustrator). I'd recommend trying each of them to see if any of them work better.

If that doesn't work, you might go back and remake one of the objects to make sure the 2 are identical.

I am wondering what results you are expecting?

You can change the Blend tool options to change the way it blends.

And you can expand the blend to make a new object out of each piece,

If that doesn't help, please say what you are trying to achieve.

Hi, I have posted what it should look like in this thread. I would like to blend so that there are two identical pieces in between the outer and inner objects. Please let me know if you have any idea why it's not blending exactly between the objects and it's creating a squiggly line instead. Thank you!
