Blending 2 gradient coloured lines

Is there a workaround to keep the newly blended lines at the same angle as the 2 original lines?

Thanks for the clarification, kamt.

 

I assumed that you are using a "common" linear gradient at 90°. That usually works well.

 

You are right that there are issues when using the "along" type of gradients.

 

I'm afraid this is a case that needs some bug reporting at the Uservoice section of this forum.

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

 

It works fine for me (retaining the gradient angles) in the latest version of Illustrator.

 

Can you share your Illustrator file (.ai)?

Hi Kurt

 

My Illustrator version is 24.0

 

Just to be more specific, I want retain colour blends 'along a stroke' - the gradients always default to left-right not along the path
