hello all,
for the benefit of my team at work and for the sake of my own curiosity, I had a go at writing a description of how blending modes work in RGB Illustrator documents. i had only a vague idea beforehand of what each one did, so it's entirely likely there are some errors in it, and i would be very happy if anyone would be so kind as to point them out to me. if not, perhaps you might find it useful!
most of the sources i used were Photoshop-centric:
Photoshop Blend Modes Explained - Photo Blog Stop
Rogelio Bernal Andreo, Premium Astrophotography - DeepSkyColors.com
I'm not much of a mathematical head so i got lost in the more complex equations and relied on experimentation to get a few cemented in my brain. Anyway here it is:

Hello @Doogofakkad
You've done a great job explaining it a mathematical way, but most users will use it the practical way. So my only critic is:
Show more creative samples of blends.
A Practical way to use blending modes.
In which way every blend can affect your artwork or make it better, the easy way. Work smart with blending modes.
Go on.
Let me know, If you need some help.
Patrick.
