Blue Circle around the Text tool

When opening Ai 2023 v 27.5, there is a blue circle around the text tool. Once the text tool is selected it is gone. I've closed and re-opened Ai with the same effect. Jack Watson said to try the Discover panel, search Type and see if the circle comes back when selecting the Type Tool from the panel. Nope. See attatched images.

I am having the same issue...[abuse removed by moderator] This is some new Adobe BS... no plugins have changes, etc. Just started with the latest Adobe Illustrator update...

Really? A blue circle around the T is getting you that worked up?

Also you spelt it wrong... Must be that T with the Blue Circle throwing you off...

I'm having the same thing pop up today, wondered what in the world. Both the blue circle, and the rich tooltip (which I also have disabled). No plugins. Up to date AI. Windows 10.

It isn't just Shawn; I'm special too! Discovered the blue circle during my livestream today. At first I wondered if it was from opening an image from Stock, which I did via clicking a Smart Object I had open in Photoshop.

The circle disappears after selecting the Type Tool; it doesn't appear if I open another document. The blue circle appears only when Illustrator is closed and reopened.

The only plugin I have is Overlord. Oh, and I'm on Windows 10, Shawn is on a Mac I believe.
