I am a drawin a shematic illustration that are going to be imported to a control system as a svg file. The picture looks good exept the pipes they gets blurry and pixelated when I export them to svg. I am drawing them as a line and then ad thick line with a gradient color. How can I fix the lines so they wont get so blurry and ugly?

First picutre is a screenshot from illustrator

the last picutre is a screen shot from when the svg is opend, I tried open it both through browsers and inkscape.

Thanks for the responds, I been testing my way through today, and got a god results of making pipe parts out of boxes. straights, different angles and so on. Put a graident on them to look good. So now I cna build a complete system out of pipe parts.

Another option could be to just Expand those objects in (a copy of) the file before exporting to SVG.

You could try to use an Artwork brush.

Create a rectangle filled with a back > white > black gradient, 90 degrees.

Choose Object > Expand and set the number of objects.

Create an Artwork brush from the result and set the colorization method to tints.

Use the brush on your lines.

SVG doesn't support gradients accross strokes.

You have to read the SVG specifications about what SVG supports and then come up with a design that works. Possibly without a gradient like this.

Maybe you can achieve it with an SVG filter.
