Which system is it? And can you please look up the exact version number?

Do you perhaps have the Character panel open? Or does that happen when you open it?

thank you for the version number. A couple of people are reporting difficulties with Windows 11. There are some threads in the forum about it that you could search for, but I don't know if there is already a common suspect that always causes issues.

Do you have a Wacom tablet?

I am also having frequent crashes with V28.5 running on Windows 11.    It just crashes randomly freezes and then crashes and throws up 'Do you want to send an Error Report'.  Any ideas appreciated.

It crashes all the time on Windows 11 if it is sitting idle, but it does not crash when in use. Fortunately, it saves a fairly recent recovery version, which is a huge safety net. We assumed it had to do with compatibility with older graphics cards and drivers, which was the problem in the early days of CC.
