While I was working I accidentally saved another document with the same name as the previous document and now I cannot find any way to have a hold of the previous document I was working on. is there any way I can find the previous document?
Not sure if it is too late to help, but you could close the new saved version. Upon close, Illustrator will ask you if you want to nsave the document. Say "no" and close. Then, re-open the file and it should be the previous file. If, for some other reason, you closed it already, the only recourse is if you had an automatic backup system in place ( i..e., Time Machine, etc. ). You could go back in time to open the previous version.
