Question

Can I transfer line drawings from the Adobe Illustrator Draw app (on iPad Pro) into Illustrator CS6?

Can I transfer line drawings (made with strokes like you would draw in Illustrator, not fills) from Adobe Illustrator Draw (using the Apple pencil to draw with on my iPad Pro) into Illustrator CS6, and if that's possible, can I then edit those strokes in Illustrator with anchor points and the bezier tool etc. Again, like you would in Illustrator or do the strokes get 'Expanded' before reaching Illustrator, therefore making it impossible to continue drawing and editing the lines once your drawing is in Illustrator?

When I do a trial drawing on the Adobe Illustrator Draw app and then ask it to export to 'Adobe Desktop Apps' and choose 'Illustrator' it comes up with an orange box saying sent with a tick but I have no idea where it's sending it to, can someone tell me please as I can't seem to find it anywhere?

I see that I can Share my image and mail it to myself but this only saves it as a PNG and I can't edit this once it is open in Illustrator, nor can I edit the lines if it's saved as a PDF or PSD (the only other two options).

I am logged in to my Adobe account on both my iPad app and my desktop Adobe account.

To summarise, all I'd like to do is create line drawings, with no fills, on my iPad Pro and then tidy them up and edit them in Illustrator CS6 as a vector file. Does Adobe make an app that can draw vector lines?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Sending to the desktop only work in Creative Cloud versions.

But Adobe Draw doesn't work like you want anyway. It will always draw using shapes.

Ah, I see, thanks Monika, that’s very useful to know, I need an app that will allow me to draw (vector) strokes and export to edit in Illustrator, I don’t suppose you know of any do you?
