Can't copy two or more guide lines and use the paste in place feature between artboards in Illustrator.

It would be nice if we could copy two guide lines or more and then using the paste in place between artboards. Right now you can use this option with one guide at a time. As soon as you select two guides and try to use the paste in place in another artboard, it does the pasting in the original artboard.

Works for me.

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

I am using illustrator cc 21.1.0 and the computer I'm using it on is an iMac 2014 5k display running on version 10.12.5 of Mac OS.

I'm using that Illustrator version as well (on OS 10.12.3).

Just to clarify: You have – for example – artboard 1, artboard 2 and artboard 3. On artboard 1 you have multiple guides. You select them, copy them, then go to artboard 2 and hit Cmd-F to paste in front. The guides won't paste in front (or place) on artboard 2.

Does that apply or are you talking about something different?

Actually both the Cmd+F (paste in front) and Shift+Cmd+V (Paste in place) don't work when I copy the guide lines from artboard 1 and use either method to paste it into artboard 2. It works if I only try to copy one guide line, but not two or more.

Not sure why it doesn't work for you. Perhaps OS 10.12.5 is the bad guy in this game.

Have you experienced the same issue with Illustrator running on older OS versions?

Maybe a similar issue I've been experiencing also is when I copy an object from one artboard to the another using the Cmd+F (Paste in place) feature, it pastes the object anywhere outside the artboard. But the Paste in place feature works fine in this instance.

Hi Chris,

I would like to know if the issue is resolved, or still persists.
Kindly update the discussion if you need further assistance with it.

Thanks,
Srishti

I'm also having this issue, even though it looks like it's been six years now that people have been reporting this issue...
