Within Adobe Illustrator have you checked the upper regions of the font menu? Illustrator typically groups all OTF Variable Fonts together at the top of the font menu. SVG fonts (such as Emoji One) may appear immediately below that group. Edit: this isn't always the case with Trajan Color being an example; it's farther down in the fonts list. Then all the standard "static" fonts go in alphabetical order below that. That could be why you're not seeing the SVG version of the Glory Culture typeface grouped in with the other "static" styles.

I appreciate your reply. I typed svg in the character search bar and it popped up 🙏

That's cool. At least the SVG version was in there. I'm using the Windows version of Illustrator; I have to be careful about running certain non-Adobe graphics applications simultaneously with Illustrator otherwise I'll see styles here and there in several type families disappear. That's thanks to an application's built in font manager (I think). As long as I run Illustrator on its own or with other Adobe-branded applications everything works normally.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
