Can't find Properties Panel

Community Beginner ,
Jun 01, 2018 Jun 01, 2018

I am working in Illustrator CC and my properties panel has disappeared. I can't get it back. While in the file, I go to Windows> but it only goes from Pattern Option to Separations Preview.   There's no mention of Properties in  the drop down list.

Try deleting your OOBE files.

To do so:

For Macintosh Users: With InDesign closed launch a Finder Window in column view and click on your home folder. With the Option Key pressed choose Library from the Finder Go Menu. Within the Library folder delete the file at the end of this path: Application Support\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db.

For Windows Users: On Windows 7 and above these files are hidden. To find them go to the Control Panel and open Folder Options and then click the View tab. Then select “Show hidden files and folders” or “Show hidden files, folders or drive options” in Advanced Settings. Then delete (or rename) the folder at the end of this path: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE.\opm.db.

After deleting this file you will have to sign in again to your Creative Cloud account.

Confirm that you have Illustrator 2018 open and are using either the Essentials or Essentials Classic workspace. Reset the Workspace to the default panels (Window > Workspace > Reset).

Post a screen shot of your Windows menu.

The Workspace Switcher is another way to reset your workspace, once you restore your Control panel.
