I am trying to learn how to use Illustrator but have fallen at thew first hurdle. I've downloaded the course content I am using but cannot open any of the documents, I don't know if it's becasue they were created in an older version of AI maybe? I have checked my computer security to make sure it isn't because they are downloads, it's not that. I can export the files or change the extension as they won't open in anything. Nobosy else has reported any of these problems. I'm at a bit of a loss here, please can someone help?

Hi. Seems like you're not opening the original file because the name starts with symbols (._). Please make sure you are opening the original file.

You are trying to open a ._ file (which is something MacOS uses, but tries to hide).

Look for a file with a similar name but without the ._ at the beginning.
