Can't open options for shaper tool by double clicking

The guide says i can open the options menu for the shaper tool by double clicking but this works for all tools, however not the shaper. I am on mac at work. I can check on win when at home. I'm on ai 2021 at work and ain't allowed to update however a reddit lad says it was an issue in his 2023 one too.

Can you show where you found that in the guide you mentioned? As far as I know there are no options available for the shaper tool by double clicking.

This section on the Shape Builder options is on the same page as information about the Shaper tool. However, they are separate tools that are only linked by their ability to produce similar outcomes.

The Shaper tool does not have an options window. The Shape Builder tool does.
