Can't Select Guides

Hi guys!

Going crazy here.

When creating stuff I always have a separate layer for guides....

I keep trying to select specific guides and they blink and that is it...can't select them?

The layer isn't locked, so I don't understand...

Hi guys

OK...Jacob...no they were not locked in the layers panel - but were in the View/Guides/Lock Guides...

As soon as I released them - I could edit them..

At least sometimes Illy moves in mysterious ways, bookie.

the layers can contain locked and unlocked objects. unlocking the layer doesn't unlock individual locked groups. guides are locked by default.

Also found an answer here: Can't delete/move guide...

I.e., To move a guide, provided it is not locked, either select the move tool and drag or hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and drag.

Except that it should be Selection Tool. There is no Move Tool in Illustrator.

Having the same issue.

Adobe CC Ai 

Tried on different files and also created new file. Guides layer is unlocked. Still cannot select any guides (horizontal nor vertical)
