Hi All

I am New to illustrator

i worked on XMP SDK which is independent and we can write a stand alone app from that

I would like to know that the SDK provided is only for Plugin?

Can we write a stand alone application using this SDK of CS3 or CS2?

Thanks

Sri

The SDK enables you to develop software modules that plug into and
extend the functionality of Adobe Illustrator CS3.

It is not possible to create a standalone application by using  the CS3 SDK  alone.

You have to use other tools also ...

Thanks Sreejesh,

i would like to know what tools fits in?

my basic idea is to seperate each layer of AI file to different files

i am pretty sure to know that can be done using plugin from within the illustrator

i had seen in one of the posts from TheDollarBill as mentioned about this.

i have huge set of files, and i dont want to do an R&D for a plugin and keep opening each and every file

if it can be done in an standalone application using SDK, i can save lot of time, pointing the files at one location to do the job

is this SDK supports only for Plug-ins, and not for a standalone apps?

Thanks

Sri
