Can these colours be changed and, if so, how?

I've read a little bit about these fonts and there seem to me many interesting features. However, the colour aspect seems almost completely useless. Who will want text in a fixed and unchangeable colour? Or that needs a font editor to change them?? The only use I can think of is creating corporate identity/branding, perhaps with coloured logos. Otherwise the colours will be like a Christmas gadget, batteries flat and thrown away before January. It's a pity that someone decided to call them "colored fonts", a bad choice of name could kill the innovation dead.

    Branding is one aspect.

Icons is another one. Maybe even more interesting.

BTW: I have created a color font and a Fontself tutorial in case you're interested how this works:

I'm afraid you will need to outline the font and then recolor the text.
