Cannot export as PDF. Is really the maximum artboard size 577 cm?

Hi guys,

I made and Illustrator artboard which is 550 cm x 220 cm. I read in many threads that the maximum is 577 cm. I am far away from that and still get the death message "The dimensions of this page are out off allowed range". I really need to export it as PDF a vector format not JPG or PNG since is a billboard and if if not vector details will be lost or resolution as JPG will be monstruous. Everything is scaled 10%. In theory it should work, but it doesn't.
