Hi,
I have not worked with Illustrator much before but was asked to deliver an ArcGIS Project in AI file. I was told this could be done by exporting my file in ArcGIS to AIX and then open it in ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud and then simply save it as an AI file.
However, whenever I try to open my AIX file wth the extension I get the error message AIX Files must be opened with Adobe Illustrator (File>Open). When I try to open the file in Illustrator itself I am unable to select AIX files as an option. How can I resolve this issue?
I have the most recent versions of ArcGIS Pro, Illustrator and the extension.

There are many reasons, and most issues have to do with the preparation before exporting from ArcGIS, not with opening in AI.

With the Plug-In running, updated, and logged in, you should see "ArcGIS - Adobe Illustrator Exchange (AIX)" in the file formats in Illustrator's File > Open dialog. Have you been specifically selecting the format? or allowing it to stay at the default "All Formats". Try select it specifically and see if that works for you.
