Cant bend path in Illustrator

Hi

I have gone from using illustrator CC to CS6 and I have noticed that I can't bend paths using the convert anchor point tool...

On CC I used to be able to use this tool to click on a path and bend it by dragging,  but this is not happening now

Now I click on the path and get a error message that I'm not clocking on an anchor point

why is this happening?

CS6 does not have the same drawing editing like Illustrator CC.

You will need to edit the path with the direct selection tool and suffer....

The tool you are mentioning is a cloud tool - I think it is in CS6 cloud version as well.

Assuming that you are talking about bending straight path segments for the main part, in Illustrator CS6 you could use the Reshape tool (it’s located in the Tool group that contains the Scale tool and the Shear tool).

Bending with it does not work the same way as bending with the Convert Anchor Point tool in recent versions of Illustrator (the Reshape tool creates additional anchor points, for example).

To use it, select a path, go to Select > Object > Direction Handles, take the Reshape tool, then click on a path segment and drag to bend it.

CS6 does not have that feature.

You can manipulate path segments that are already bent.
