What is the canvas size of the new Illustrator, looking into canvas about this size 40' by 35' (feet)

is there a program with this capabilities??

That would be a Large Canvas document. You can create that in Illustrator.

My question would be why do you need to design something that large?

Illustrator is a vector based program meaning you can design at scale and then enlarge in post/printing.

Scaling is essentially what the "large canvas" format is doing--it just multiplies everything by a factor of 10 behind the scenes.

Standard: 227x227 inches max canvas

Large: 2270x2270 max canvas

Standard: 64000% zoom

Large: 6400% zoom
