CC 2015.3 View is all white with green lines

How do I get my view in illustrator to be a white artboard with a gray background AND WITHOUT green guidelines/rulers?? I've looked for solutions all over and cannot find anything. Here's what it looks like:

Hi mjac

You're using the video art board preset. When you make a new document be sure to choose the appropriate preset for the work you want to do. It looks like maybe you want to use a "web" or "art & illustration"  preset based on the RGB header in the screen shot you posted for the interface look you're after.
