Change alignment of stroke

Hi all,

 

I'm using the pen and pencil tools to trace something in Illustrator. When I use the pen tool, the stroke is aligned to center. The align stroke to outside is greyed out.

 

How do I fix this?

What value are you using in the miter limit box? If less than 4 you are likely to get a truncated corner.

You can change align with none closed trace only illustrator V28.6.  I don't want update my soft, it 's very usefull!

Are you making a closed path? You can only change the alignment of the stroke if the path you make is closed.

    Hm, ok. Thanks. I also have the corner set to miter limit, but my corners are round. Do you know how to fix that?
