Is it possible to change the pre-set line thickness's in the drop-down-menu? It looks like this:

I always use 0,15 and 0,3 pt, and now I have to write it manually each time.

Unfortunately not.

You could create graphic styles and save them in a template or new document profile.

Also: please make feature requests here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com  I would even assume that there is one for this option that you could support. It makes a lot of sense.

Thank you. I guessed it wasn't possible, just so used to be able to do it in FrameMaker.

I have posted a feature request.

Create graphic styles with those weights, save them to your preferred document profile.

Create actions to apply those graphic styles, assign them to shortcuts.

Unfortunately I don't know Illustrator that well, so I have no idea how to do that. I have manually changed the widths the last 10 years, so I will continue to do that. (I use Illustrator to "fix up" dimensional drawings, so I never use it for drawing from scratch, just change lines, types and move stuff around).

Thanks anyway.

Just assign the desired width to a path.

Then drag that path into the graphic styles panel.

When you're done, save all these as a library or as a template file or edit your new document prorfile. Those are Illustrator files that reside in a specifi folder: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/create-custom-new-document-profile.html
