Change Specific Artboard Color

New Here ,
May 05, 2025 May 05, 2025

Hi.

I want to ask.

For example, I have two artboards, artboard 1 named "X" and artboard 2 named "Y". The default color of the artboard is white.

But I want to change the color of the artboard "X" to black and keep the color of the artboard "Y' white. If using "Document Setup" it will change all the artboard colors.

I know I can change the color of the artboard with a rectangle but I don't want that, because I want it to have a transparent background when exported or printed to avoid mistakes.

Can I change the artboard color on a specific artboard?

Thank you ~

You can make a background layer with a colored rectangle and hide it during export.

If I have multiple artboards or objects, do I have to hide them one by one?

Yes, it may not be practical to create a separate background layer for each artboard.

I thought it would be possible with a template layer or a no print background layer, but unfortunately, no print or template still exports.
