Change to Horizontal Type tool

when entering point type text in Illustrator cc it comes in vertical. I want horizontal. Must be a simple toggle but I've yet to find it. Help? thank you

Go to the Tool panel. Click and hold on whatever Type tool is shown. You should get another small panel. You should see one tool highlighted. Try The one that shows a capital “T”. I’m on a tablet right now so I can’t show a screenshot.

Like Larry, I'm also on a tablet. But here is a link to Help with a picture of the Tools panel and the seven Type tools. Also, "T" is the shortcut for the Horizontal Type tool (only if you do not have an insertion point.)
