Changing pie chart data causes jump

I've created a template for pie charts that we use routinely. When I change each pie's data, it jumps a fair distance away from the rest of the graphic. See below. I've seen one comment about this in a separate post's thread but with no replies. Has anyone else seen this? How can it be fixed?

So, I did fix this with "reset bounding box". LOL

Before I change the data, I'll select all and use Object > Transform > Reset bounding box and the pie charts keep their positions when I change the data.

Have they originally been in that size or did you apply effects for the size and position?

If this has been achieved by effects, then unfortunately you need to expect very weird things happening to graphs when editing the data table.

If they have been created orioginally in that size and at that position, this is the first time I'm seeing that kind of behaviour.  Does it happen only in this file?

Hi Monika,

 

They are kind of all over the place in that regard. They may have been created at a different size or position. They may have even been copied and pasted some number of times.

 

The template document contains many different-sized graphics, similar to the above example, for different numbers of sets of data. The closest set that matches the current project is then copied and pasted into a new document for text and data changes.

 

So, that certainly could be the cause of the issue. Any ideas (aside from reworking each graphic set) on how to fix this? Is there a kind of "reset bounding box" for graphs?
