Clarification on SVG 1.0 Deprecation and Removal Timeline

Hello Team,

We are currently using Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud, and while saving images as SVG, we typically select the SVG 1.0 profile. Recently, we started receiving the following warning message:

“The chosen profile is deprecated and will get removed in the future.”

We would like to request clarification on this:

When will SVG 1.0 support be permanently removed from Illustrator?
Is there an official end-of-support date?

This information is important for us, as we are planning to update our codebase accordingly.

Thanks again for following up. I checked with our product team, and while SVG 1.0 is deprecated, they mentioned that there are currently no immediate plans to remove it. To better understand your workflow and see if we can support your needs despite the deprecation, the team would like to know what specifically makes SVG 1.0 important for you. Could you share where you notice differences between SVG 1.0 and SVG 1.1 that make you rely on SVG 1.0?

Your input will really help us explore possible solutions together.

Thanks for sharing the information. We are planning to migrate to SVG 1.1 this December. Please let me know if anything comes up before then
