Hi! Basically what I need is the designs inside my template black/outline are overlapping, and I would like to do a clipping mask.

but for some reason, I don't know how to do it correctly, I can do it fine with normal adobe illustrator shapes but for my own designed design doesn't work, is there a problem with my strokes or something?

I can send the file if you would like to fix it for me or want to check it out, let me know your email. thank you

It looks like the elements you have selected are all overlapping and quite rightly Illustrator wont attempt to make a clipping path for some thing that has conflicting elements within.

I would suggest you create a duplicate layer of the elements you want to become the clipping path. If all shapes are fills without strokes, use the Pathfinder tool to Unite the shapes. This will give you one complete shape, change the fill to none and use to create yur clipping mask. There will be the need to group the elements you want to clip, make sure your clipping path is at the very front on your artwork.
