Collect assets and export issue with raster images

Im working on some web banners on illustrator which inlude photoshop files (eg: a HQ photo) and using the collect files and export feature.

Here comes the weird part... if I leave the photoshop file as is (just modify its proportions) the exported file comes out fine. HOWEVER if I try to rotate the photoshop file inside illustrator, the exported image comes out all pixelated or jagged..

Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello @Nicolas24,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version, screenshots of the settings used, and sample AI, PSD, and exported files after uploading them to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc., so we can investigate this further?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Sure

os:win11

adobe illlustrator 28.6 (64 bit)

You dont need any sample files, just take any raster image rotate it, export it as jpg or png, and the result is the same

zoom in of the issue

Did you check the Art Optimized anti-aliasing option?
