Question

color change after export

Who can help me out with the following: I made an image in Ilustrator with bright colors. When I export this (from my Macbook) and view it on my iPhone, I see completely different colors. These are much more pale and gray. I have already tried several things and adjusted the screen of my MacBook, but I cannot see the correct colors on my iPhone. Who knows the golden tip???

Check the Document Color Profile in Illustrator, you can choose to display that at the bottom of your screen, and assign it, as Monika suggested, in Photoshop (Edit > Assign Profile...) or Preview (Tools > Assign Profile...).

iPhone color management is kind of difficult.

What did you export? A PNG? In that case: open it in Photoshop and attach the color profile that you used in Illustrator.

Also: you could try a different image viewer and also provide us with more detail and screenshots.

What is the color model of your document (CMYK, RGB) and what kind of color profile is being used? It sounds to me like you're exporting some form of CMYK artwork to display on an electronic RGB device.

Hey! I'm quite new to Illustrator so still figuring things out. But I made the document in RGB and used the color profile as you can see in the screenshot. My macbook screen is set to Apple RGB (cause it was already like that so i'm used to those colours haha). What do I need to change?? I tried attaching the color profile to the image in photoshop, but that didn't help..
