I have completed the Ai file using spot colors and i need output pdf in CMYK only. is it possible??

    Sure, use Illustrator. its the right pls e for design decisions. Work with a copy of course.

    Illustrator doesn’t have an option to do this when saving. We have given many alternatives to choose from.

    Save a PDF version with the spot colours.

    In Acrobat Pro, convert the spot colours to CMYK using a preflight profile or the convert colours command.

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your suggestions. I know the acrobat & ESKO automachine settings . But, I need illustrator settings.

    Any settings available in this panel others...

    Ah, I'm obviously confused as this is an Acrobat forum!

    Therefore, I think a moderator needs to move this thread over to the Illustrator forum?

    To complement:

    Use save a copy or save as and save to an Illustrator PDF. Open this Illustrator PDF from Illustrator (yes, it is still an Illustrator file) and change the colours you want. Save the file (it will save again as a PDF) and you're done.

    Different possibility (I prefer, however, Test Screen Name​'s approach):

    You open your Illustrator PDF with Acrobat DC Pro. Go to the "Print production" tools, uses "Convert Colors" and convert:

    In Ai you can change your colour definitions to process.
