Color Settings profiles are missing - Illustrator reset to Emulate 6.0 and can't change back

My computer force-restarted and now my colors are wrong. My color settings have reverted to Emulate 6.0 and I'm struggling to get them back to normal.

When I go into my Color Settings, I can change the RGB profile, but my dropdown for CMYK profiles is blank (see attached screenshot). I've checked my Adobe/Color/Profiles/Recommended folder and it is empty. How can I fix this? Is there a place I can download default color settings?

I've tried using Adobe Bridge to set color settings, but the program crashes as soon as I click "Apply" to synchronize settings.

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!

It might be worth trying a clean uninstall-reinstall of Adobe Illustrator using the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.

Try to de-install and re-install Illustrator. Make backups of things like your custom swatches, brushes, symbols.

I have tried this a couple of times, as well as trying previous versions of Illustrator - no luck.

The cleaner tool might be worth trying since profiles are CC shared components.

If that does not help, you can contact support who can have a look into your system:
