Hi All,
Sorry to hear about your experience. Product team is working on this issue. I'd request you to upvote on this UserVoice post(https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/42892902-illust...) & stay tuned for the updates.
Additionally, please try this workaround & let us know if it helps:
1. Lower Photoshop from 22.3 to 22.2.
2. Specify any color setting in Illustrator.
If you do the above
Even if you operate Photoshop while Illustrator is running,

Try to use Adobe Bridge to synchronize the color settings.

Los he sincronizado con Adobe Bridge pero sigue el mismo problema, cuando paso de Photoshop a Illustrator, los ajustes de color cambian solos a Adobe Illustrator 6.0

Unfortunatley Adobe support is one BIG joke.
They have no idea what the talk about and no matter what your problem is, they ask to do the exact same things. Reset your profile, uninstall Illustrator and intall it again etc. ect. etc......

Sadly didn't fix it for me.
As soon as I switch between Apps (Illustrator and Photoshop with cmd+tap) Illustrator sets all previousily saved color settings back to Emulate Adobe Illsutrator 6.0. It's driving me mad.

I just tried to uninstall Illustrator (25.2.1) and reinstalle 25.2 and the same with PS. Unistalled 22.3 and reinstalled 22.2 and it seem to have solved the issue for now.
Let me know if it works for you!

Didn't solve the issue for me.
As soon as I switch to PS and then back to AI, it messes up my colors to Emulate Adobe Illsutrator 6.0 instead of the saved "Japan Color 2001 Coated" color profile and it's driving me crazy.

I've been working properly with Illustrator and Photoshop for two hours.
Have you removed the cache in the 2 libraries?

This solution didn't work for me. Even went a few versions back, the problem still exists.

I had this problem just now, tried out all the things out there in the forums, nothing worked. But i found something that worked for me. Instead of just using a "custom" illustrator color space, i saved it as a new .csf file with a different name. And for whatever reason now the profile stopped changing when i'm switching applications.
Hope adobe fix this nonsense.

Unfortunately this solution not work for me. I cleaned the cache as mentioned and also I have used another software for clean all cache from my iMac but the problem of color profile doesn´t solve. 😞
