Colors are different in Illustrator and elsewhere
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a new Behance project, and when I export images from Adobe Illustrator (AI) and upload them to Behance, on Behance they're dull and lifeless. The same happens also when I preview the images on my computer using the integrated image viewer.
In AI, I'm using "Monitor RGB" as my Proof Setup because it has the richest and most vivid color. Could this be the issue?
My laptop's screen has a wide color gamut (100% DCI-P3 color gamut) so I assume in AI I'm using more colors than my browser (and Behance in this case) can reproduce since sRGB is the standard in web browsers?
Could this be the case? And if yes, should I just turn the Proof Setup in AI to "sRGB" then?
I guess I will have to rework the colors and try to make them more vivid, even though I'll have less colors to work with? Or is something else causing this issue?
PS: The same happens when I switch from my laptop monitor and preview everything on my external BenQ monitor.
Also, I'm using an Asus Windows laptop.
