Compound Path with Separate Gradients

Hi All...  I have an image with multiple shapes, each with its own gradient.  I wish to make this entire image (multiple shapes) into a single cut path, however cannot use the compound path option as I then lose my gradients.  Any suggestions?  Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Then you will need to make a copy of the path and set that as a cut path.

But are you sure you need it as a compound path?

Yes, that is what I have done now...  top layer is flattened for print and bottom compound path for cut.  Hopefully will work.
