after updating today 08/05/2025 to version 29.5.1 the control bar disappeared

Hello @Timotei0101,

Would you mind resetting the current workspace from the Window > Workspace menu or switching to one of the default workspaces to check if it helps?

Buongiorno, ho fatto tutte le prove del caso e non fuziona.
Alla fine ho disinstallato la versione 25.5.1 e ho installato la versione 25.5
Sembra che cosi funziona. Pero che noia … reimpostare tutte le preferenze, le aree di lavoro e le scelte rapide da tastiera !

Thanks for following up. I just tested this on my end with version 29.5.1, and I can see the Control bar available as expected. It sounds like this might be related to some corrupt UI preferences on your machine.

For now, please try the following steps and see if they help. Close all Adobe applications, then navigate to this folder on your Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP and rename the UXP folder to UXP.old. Once that's done, relaunch Illustrator and check if the Control bar shows up again.
