Hi
Is it possible to control stippling densintiy by gridpoints (like the colorgradients you can do with grids) ?
It is for archaeological illustrations where I need a more or less regular stippling patterns to shape a form with light and shadow.
Here is an example how stippling in archaeological drawings look like:

Within the pink circle on the left side you see a solution with colorgradients on a grid, on the right side I tried to rebuilt it with a stippling brush.
But it would be easier and more regular if I could control the density of the stippling by the grid points.
Does anybody know a economic workflow for that ?
I've seen solutions with the grain-filter, but that does not look like how the archaeological drawings conventions are 😉
Kind regards
Alain
