i am trying to convert a line of text into outlines/path for my vinyl cutter. HOWEVER, i am using warp effects on the text first. i can create the text and add teh effect "WARP FAG "but when i select type/create outlines, it only creates the outlines for the hidden origional straightline text. i am not sure what to do to make it create the paths on the "effect" text path.
The Expand Appearance command should create raw, editable paths out of live warp effects applied to text objects. If you're running the lettering through a vinyl cutter be careful about the kinds of fonts being used for the warped type effects. Some fonts will have paths that overlap the letter strokes. I don't know of any other customer service phone numbers other than what Adobe lists on its web site. I have doubts they have any download links for CS6 generation applications online anymore. Someone from Adobe would probably need to confirm that. I think you would need the original installer CD-ROM/DVD-ROM discs and corresponding serial number from the retail box.
