¿Convertir expandido a trazo?

Adjunto imagen para aclarar lo que quiero decir.

El 1 corresponde a un Trazo de 11 pt.

El 2 es el mismo trazo, pero Expandido.

¿Es posible convertir el Expandido (2) al Trazo normal (1) en Illustrator?

Not directly but you can get a single centered path back. Using the Direct Select tool, select and delete the short vertical paths at each end of the expanded stroke. Then Direct Select the two remaining paths and make a single step Blend between them. Expand the Blend and delete the top and bottom paths. Select the remaining path and stroke as desired.
