copy artboard and layer organisation at once

i’ll try to be the clearest as possible. I’m wondering if i can improve this workflow.

I tend to use “copy artboard” quite a lot as it is nice to duplicate an artwork with the exact same placement on a new artboard.

BUT, the layer organisation stays the same and I have to recreate it manually and drag the content to the new layers

Example :

(all layers have both artboard contents on corresponding layers)
> Prez 05
>> Outline
>> Shape
>> BG

(drag to >>)
> Prez 06
>> Outline
>> Shape
>> BG

Or I can duplicate the layers first and then run some macros to clean it.
One macro to clean the “copy” appendix,
another macro to create an artboard,
then select the background of the copied artwork and run macro “make artboard size fit this selection”
(most of the time my background shape represents the artboard size, but not always)

Is there a proper way to script that ?
i’m open to scripts and actions, but I can't imagine the step-by-step process.

Ideally, i’d like to imput “copy artboard” and that it also duplicate the layer organisation (layer 05 copy etc ..)
Then i could run another macro to remove the “copy” names

any thoughts ?
