Corner widget not visible only for Star outer corners in Illustrator

For some reason, the corner widget is only not appearing for the outer corners of the star shape. It appears for the inner corners and for every corner of other shapes I have tried. I tried fiddling around with the settings and zooming in for scale and still they do not show up. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi Odelia,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with Star tool. I just checked it at my end and it's working fine for me. Please try resetting preferences for Illustrator (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) and let us know how it goes.

Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

You may also check if it has something to do with some "inappropriate" setting in the Illustrator Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display > Hide Corner Widget for angles greater than.
