I am in need of creating a floor plan with a pdf blue print.  Looking for steps/advise, if possible.

I am searching for something VERY simple that will allow me to create walls, doors windows in a basic 2d plan. I just checked out the cadtools you recommended and it is WAY more than I need. do you happen to know of some instructions for drawing what I mentioned? I am still in the baby stages of learning illustrator but if I have an ideas of the best way to accomplish drawing walls that have fill color or hatching, the doors and windows that would be so helpful. thanks
