Create Swatch Info is greyed out

I cannot "Create Swatch Info," as it is greyed out, along with "Create Gradient," in the swatch panel. Why? I have tried making a new document and just using the default swatches... Nothing. I am on a new M4 mac mini running the latest Illustrator, 2025. Thanks!

You need to select at least two swatches in order to use those functions.
