Creating a Tutorial to Recreate a Logo?

Could someone create an easy tutorial for creating my (own) custom-made version of this logo, please?

P.S. Here's the Monster Jam Font. However, the font used in the logo is not publicly available, but it looks very similar to the ITC Machine. So, in conclusion, the closest font they can find that resembles the Monster Jam font logo is ITC Machine designed by Ronne Bonder and Tom Carnase.

The typeface used in the Monster Jam graphic is Agency by Font Bureau (the Black Wide style is used). However, the "S" in "Monster" looks like Eurostile Extended Bold (Microgramma is a copycat version).

The way I would reproduce the graphic is by creating all the geometric elements within Adobe Illustrator (the lettering, triangle shapes, hex screws, etc). I would create the graphic at a certain physical size. Next step is launching Adobe Photoshop and creating a new document the same physical size and choosing a certain desired resolution (72ppi, 300ppi, etc). Then I would copy the paths of the Illustrator artwork to the clipboard and paste them as Paths within Adobe Photoshop. They'll initially show up as a "work path" in the Paths palette. Double click the path entry to give it a name so it is "saved" to prevent any new paths pasted into the same PSD document from overwriting those paths. Transform operations can scale the paths up or down in size within the PSD document if needed.

The idea of copying the paths from Illustrator into Photoshop is because Photoshop has a lot more pixel-based effects tools to create things like brushed metal effects, shadows, bevels, glows, etc. There is a lot of third party Photoshop plugins. It's easy to select paths in the Paths palette and turn them into selections to fill with all sorts of textures and effects.
